got a burning question?

I’ve been practicing horary astrology for 6 years, mostly through direct study of primary sources. My two greatest teachers in this art have been the works of the 17th century English astrologer William Lilly and the 9th century Abbasid astrologer Sahl ibn Bishr.

William Lilly was my introduction and I began my practice by studying and experimenting with the second volume of his textbook, Christian Astrology, that deals with horary. For the first several years I did horaries for fun, often with groups of other astrologers who were studying these texts together. As my practice deepened over time, I started offering them to clients through word-of-mouth recommendations. The encouragement of all of my word-of-mouth clients is what brought me to open my books more openly like this :) I’m so thankful to y’all!

Having met with over 100 clients and answered well-over 200 questions through these years of research and practice, I have settled on my own personal style as a reader. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you!

These principles guide my readings:

  • Historically-informed judgements

  • Practical, actionable advice

  • Tried and true techniques

  • Affirmation of the magical nature of astrology

  • Will X come to pass? Will I get pregnant? Will I get married? Will I sell the house?

  • Who stole my purse and will I be able to get it back?

  • Will the person who owes me pay me back?

  • How will this new business/romantic partnership go?

esoteric questions

$75 / question

INCLUDED:

  • PDF with root chart and 12th-parts

  • Full, detailed answer

  • Remedies for imbalances (if applicable)

Esoteric horary questions are a unique offering I have developed myself. These questions concern themselves with subjects who whose answer may be hidden in some way.

These questions are answered using the same root chart used for general questions but are also interpreted using the 12th-parts and the 12th-divisional chart, as well as any lots which are relevant to your question. For more on how this works, see the FAQ below.

Some ideas of esoteric questions you might want to ask:

  • Is the news/rumor/gossip I recently heard trustworthy? Will it be good or bad for me?

  • What did this dream mean?

  • What is the meaning of an omen I received?

  • Something seems off about a talisman (or other magical object/substance) I have, what’s going on?

  • Do I have the evil eye? What should I do to get rid of it?

  • What is the status of the ongoing magical/spiritual project I’ve been working on?

  • Will this talisman/materia/amulet/etc be supportive or harmful if I make/buy it?

  • What do my ancestors or other members of my spirit team need me to know right now?

add-on for any question:

video explanation & case notes

+$25 to any question

INCLUDED:

  • 10-30 minute explanatory video

  • Copy of my casebook notes

  • Citations for sources I check (if applicable)

For those who are interested in the inner workings of my approach, I offer the option to add a copy of my technical notes from my casebooks and a 10-30 minute video explanation of the way I derived my answer. Typically I will answer questions using my own knowledge, but if I happen to check a reference I will also give a citation for it and read the relevant passage aloud.

This offering is great for horary students :)

These video explanations are available by default in spoken English (with auto-captioning turned on) or in ASL by request.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • My current turn around time is one week. Thank you for your patience :)

  • No, I don’t offer bundles of horary readings but I do offer $5 off for return clients.

Look for the coupon code in the PDF of your question :)

  • When casting charts, I use Placidus. Placidus is my favorite quadrant system because it incorporates the timing of the planetary hours, which are a component of my judgement. I always read with whole sign houses as well but I count those in my head :)

  • The twelfth-parts are a kind of microzodiac that divides each sign into, well, twelve parts :) Each one is assigned to a sign of the zodiac (you can see a chart of them here). The 12th-parts (also called by their Greek name, dodecatemoria, or their Sanskrit name, dwadasamsa) originated in Babylonian astrology and represent a more ancient form of division of the sign into a 12-sign microzodiac instead of the 30 degrees we often think of today. Each 12th-part is 2.5º long and can also be referred to as a dodecatemorion, dwad, or duad.

This microzodiac can be used to show hidden influences in any astrological chart. They contain information about things like:

    • secret or hidden motives

    • the role of spiritual/mental health and the soul

    • spirits who influence the situation

    • the role of lineage and ancestors

    • answers to all esoteric and occult questions

The 12th divisional chart is derived by taking each point and multiplying its longitude by 12. This generates a secondary chart which shows the hidden influences which are of the nature of the 12th-parts. This chart can also be interpreted to derive answers to questions about esoteric subjects.

  • I cast and interpret the Lots of Fortune and Spirit in every question I answer.

For esoteric questions, I may also look at:

    • the Lot of Illness for questions regarding spiritual illness, enemies, deceit (I cast this one for all esoteric questions)

    • the Lot of Eros for questions of love

    • the Lot of Necessity for questions about fate

    • the Lot of Friends for questions about them

    • the Lot of Knowledge of Whether Something is True or False for questions about news/rumors/gossip (the long name is Ibn Ezra’s)
